FISD Director of Finance receives TASBO RISE Award

Frenship ISD is very pleased to announce Lela Vela, Frenship ISD Director of Finance, has been selected as a 2022 Rise Award receiver by the Texas Affiliation of School Company Officers (TASBO). Vela is one of only seven community schooling administrators across the Point out of Texas to get the award this calendar year.

Vela and the other recipients of the Rise Award were being chosen based mostly on their management attributes, achievements, and their drive to keep on increasing their vocation. The award also acknowledges the recipients as potential leaders who are on the increase in the university organization neighborhood and job.

Vela has been with the Frenship loved ones for 10 yrs, serving in numerous roles in just the Frenship ISD Business enterprise Office such as Accountant, Coordinator of Accounting, and now Director of Finance. Not only is Vela an energetic member of TASBO, earning their best certification of Registered Texas School Enterprise

Administrator (RTSBA), but she also participates in many local community and Frenship committees and serves as a mentor to youthful small business industry experts and college students.

As a Increase Award recipient, Vela was honored in front of college business leaders throughout Texas at the 2022 TASBO Engage Convention Awards Luncheon. Vela suggests she was humbled to obtain the honor, and she is excited to continue on increasing as a chief to superior serve Frenship ISD.
